2018 (MVCC) Merrimack Valley Camera Club Inter-Club Competition

This year the club will again participate in an inter-club competition with the Merrimack Valley Camera Club in Massachusetts.  The competition, called the George W. Glennie Memorial Nature Salon, is a nature image only competition with strict rules governing the content allowed in the image. Please read the entire rules page. You can read the requirements at:

SPECIAL NOTE:  Although we encourage all types of images, Please try to submit diverse images. The major categories like Birds, Botany and Landscapes will have hundreds of entries. 

 You can submit images in the following categories:


SUBMIT ALL IMAGES TO THE TRPC PORTAL DESIGNATED MVCC NATURE COMPETITION 

  1. Animals(consists of the following categories)
    1. Birds
    2.  Invertebrates– Insects, Mollusks (snails etc.), Arachnids, Annelids (worms), Crustaceans
    3. Reptiles
    4. Amphibians
    5. Mammals
    6. Marine and Freshwater Life – Fish, Marine Crustaceans/Mammals, Starfish, Corals etc.
  2. Botany
  3. Landscape

Remember that there CANNOT be any man made objects in the pictures.

Here’s how it will work:   SUBMIT ALL IMAGES TO THE TRPC PORTAL DESIGNATED MVCC NATURE COMPETITION

DO NOT submit any individual entries to the MVCC.  ALL TRPC entries will be submitted on the club’s digital portal and go through a pre-judging procedure before the best 10 are sent to MVCC.

There will be a Salon & Gallerie competition opened on the club’s digital portal.  Any club member that wishes to enter can submit two (2) digital images for consideration, making sure that you follow the competition guidelines.

The deadline for entries  will be February 15, 2018.  A local independent  professional photographer will select the 10 best entries and the club  will submit them to the competition.  If your image is selected for submission you will be notified.

Image Preparation: 

Each digital image may have a maximum width of 1024 pixels and a maximum height of 768 pixels.

When submitting your images to the portal please use the naming convention listed below for both your written and digital image file name.
